On
November 09, 2016, I experienced an incident of assault, serious
violence, and armed robbery attempt by Policeman Said Qabalan,
assisted by Investigator Idan Malka, and Station Commander Alon Lurie
of the Tel-Aviv Center Station, Israel Police. [1]
I
experienced a similar incident in Jerusalem several years ago, have
recorded numerous similar incidents in the OccupyTLV camp, and
robbing of street persons by Tel-Aviv policemen is a well known
problem.
However,
it doesn’t appear to me that Policeman Saif Qabalan is inherently a
criminal, and perhaps he was driven into the life of crime by
financial distress.
Therefore,
as customary in corrupt regimes, I seek to enter, as a street-person,
a monthly arrangement (if possible by electronic fund transfer) of
charity and/or protection fees for Policeman Saif Qabalan and the
Tel-Aviv Center Station.
